Built 2007 by volunteersof the New Charleston Mosquito Fleet
Hey! -There's Charlie Sneed (aft & portside), founder of the SC Maritime Heritage Foundation & the visionary organizer of the effort to build the Spirit of South Carolina. This boat has a a lapstrake hull (overlapping planks). It is a fast boat for rowing, with three rowing stations that can be rigged in various combinations of double or single oars. It will also carry one or two masts, rigged with sprit sails, and leeboards instead of a centerboard so as to keep the interior clear for rowing. www.scmaritime.org
